The important dates for the 2012 Biennial:
5th March 2012 - Entry Open
11th May 2012 - Entry Closes
May 2012 - Stage 1 Selection (digital image / photo)
29June - 1st July 2012 - Stage 2 Selection (original work)
26th September 2012- Opening Ceremony & Banquet
The exhibition will be on for one month.
NB: The above dates are yet to be confirmed and subject to change.
September 2011
The 2012 Biennial will be organized by Shanghai Qingpu District People's Government and China Artists Association, co-organized by Shanghai Zhujiajiao Town People's Government and Watercolour Art Committee of China Artists Association, in association with Quanhua Watercolour Art Gallery.
Entry details will be released very soon.
January 2011
The Biennial has been included in the Watercolour Chronology in The Art of Watercolour - The Book 2011, to order the book please contact librairie@lartdelaquarelle.com.
November 2010
- All unsold works are being returned via EMS service through China Post. If artists do not receive their works by the end of the year, please contact us on watercolourbiennial@gmail.com.
- Among all the works that are for sale, 55% were sold. If artists have not recevied an email informing them of the sales, please assume that your work is not sold and it will be returned by the end of the year.
October 2010
- Artists with paintings sold will be notified by mail/email within two weeks of the conclusion of the show. All unsold paintings will be returned within 3 months.
- The show has attracted on average 1,000 visitors a day so far. We are featured in every monthly newsletter for the World Expo. The event is also covered by the most influential art publication in China- the 'Art' magazine.
September 2010:
All participating artists should have received their complimentary copy of The Album of Exhibits by now. Thank you for being so patient.
July 2010:
SORRY FOR THE DELAY! We will be sending out the Album of Exhibits to all exhibiting artists in the next few weeks.
We have been waiting for the Participation Certificates to be officially stamped by China Artists Association in Beijing and send the book with the certificate. However, there have been delays. We will be sending the certificates separately at a later date.
